Avon Violetta Sparkle

I found yet another post that I never published!! This one is also back when my nails were rounded. Hope you enjoy!
Avon Violetta Sparkle. This is a dark purple PACKED with gorgeous gold shimmer. This first picture is slightly blurred to show Violetta Sparkle's full effect. I used two coats for these pictures.

This is how the polish looks in normal indoor lighting.

Violetta Sparkle came out last year as a part of Avon's holiday collection. It is no longer available, but I have seen it appear in the outlet books once in a while selling for only a $1.99! So, if you want this polish just keep your eye out :)

Pure Ice Femme Fatale and Crushed

If you guys follow me on Instagram, then you may remember when I posted about finding that huge Pure Ice display at Walmart. That day I bought 4 of their new velour polishes. The velour polishes are essentially matte/suede polishes. Here are two of them!

This was my finished look using Femme Fatale (forest green) and Crushed (gold).

I started with two coats of Crushed. This is how it dries without topcoat.

Then I added topcoat so I could show you how it looks shiny also!

Once the gold was dry, I added striping tape in a chevron pattern and painted Femme Fatale over it. I quickly removed the tape after painting on the green to create this look! (this is without topcoat)

These velour polishes went on very nicely with no dragging!

China Glaze Glistening Snow stamped

Recently I bought a cute china glaze holiday gift set that included two china glaze polishes and a shot glass! One of the polishes in the set was Glistening Snow!

This is two coats of Glistening Snow, notice how it dries kind of matte! I think it looked really awesome on its own...but I wanted to stamp over it.

I stamped with Wet n Wild Black Creme and I used bundle monster plate 320! It's like a faux water marble effect.

I don't really have much else to say about this mani....I really loved it though! I hope all of you that celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful holiday! I ended up not doing themed nails :/ Oh, well. I'll try and do lots of Christmas nails this year to make up.

Hope you all have a great Monday tomorrow! :)

Pure Ice Review

Today I have 5 brand new Pure Ice polishes to review for you guys! For each polish I used two coats and no top coat, unless otherwise specified.

Getting Gorgeous. Blue glass fleck polish that shifts from blue to purple. The shift is definitely stronger in the bottle. Once on the nail, it wasn't as intense, but certainly still noticeable! Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good picture of the shift. Please trust that it's there!

Alter Ego. Deep coffee brown glass fleck polish with subtle white/silver flakes. Please click my pictures of this polish to get a closer look! The flakes in this are very tiny and not too noticeable, but they add so much depth to this polish. This is such an awesome color!

Nude Beach. Peachy, nude polish with silver shimmer. Kudos to Pure Ice for adding that shimmer to this polish! I'm a girl who loves nudes, so the shimmer that is added to this one makes it super unique, in my opinion!

Silver Lining (one coat) over Getting Gorgeous. Glitter topcoat that includes silver microglitter and holographic shards (diamond shape). I love this, it's so sparkly! Plus, I don't think I have any polishes with that cool shard/diamond shaped glitter.

Glass of Bordeaux. Sheer black polish packed with red microglitter. Even though the first coat went on sheer, it was perfect after the second coat. This one is so vampy and dark!

The formula and brush was good for each one of these polishes. Dry time was average, not too fast, but not too slow. For around only $2 a bottle, and such a wide color selection, it doesn't get much better than that! They receive an A in my book!

*These polishes were sent to me for review by Pure Ice. All opinions are my own.

Orly Royal Navy

I found another oldie that I never posted! Look how long my nails used to be. I'm wishing they were like that right now, I have super short nails due to some peeling issues, currently...they're sooo weak :( !

This is 2-3 coats (can't remember exactly, oops!) of Orly Royal Navy. Man, it's freaking gorgeous.

I'm such a sucker for blue polishes, if you don't already know. I seriously want to buy every blue nail polish ever. But, that would be a little excessive. Or not, whatever.

I didn't buy this polish for the longest time and then I just bought it on a whim at Ulta a few months ago. I'm so glad I did! Even though I have lots of royal blue nail polishes like this, I don't have any that have this pretty shimmer in it.

The Makeup Show Orlando: Two days of fun!

The Makeup Show Orlando was held at the Peabody Hotel on International Drive in Orlando on November 4th and 5th! I got to attend both days as a blogger, plus I helped Maria at the Cult Nails booth both days. It's hard to sum up everything I got to experience both days, so this post will just be a small recap.

Let's first start with the things I bought:

This is a brush roll by EnKore Makeup. I needed something to put my makeup brushes in for when I travel, so this was perfect! Plus, Koren was using all money collected from selling these to help the relief efforts in New Jersey after hurricane Sandy. That is Koren's hometown.

I bought a crease brush and lip brush from Crown Brush. They had soooo many brushes to choose from. I wanted to buy more, but I already own a lot of brushes and so I just chose two that I knew I definitely didn't have.

I also bought this amazing eyeshadow palette from Crown Brush. This one is called the 88 color warm palette. It's a bunch of gorgeous, neutral eyeshadows; my favorite colors to wear! Can you believe I bought this for only $20?!

Brianna, from Brikasia, suggested I buy these convertible color compacts by Stila Cosmetics. They can be used on your lips or as blush!

The pink is Petunia and the nude is Peony

Here they are swatched on my forearm. I am in love with these! Thanks again, Brianna, for suggesting I buy them :)

I also bought a lip tar from the Alcone booth. Unfortunately, the one I wanted (Interlace) they didn't have in stock at the show due to hurricane Sandy. So, I am still waiting for it to be shipped to my house! I'll share it once I have it in my possession.

As you can see, I didn't go too crazy with what I bought at the show. I already have more makeup than I could possibly use so I just tried to buy things that I didn't already have. I also wanted to try brands that I've never tried before! I'm very impressed with the products I bought, I really love them all.

Now, let's talk about my experience as a whole. I really don't know how to describe it; it was like hanging out with my bestfriends for two days, surrounded by tons and tons of beautiful makeup and nail polish. So, heaven, I can describe it as heaven lol! I spent a lot of time at the Cult Nails booth, probably more time than I did walking around. I just had so much fun talking to people about the polishes and painting people's nails! And honestly, I felt more at home when I was dealing with the polish. As I mentioned before, I'm kind of clueless when it comes to makeup.

When I wasn't at the Cult Nails booth I was walking around and checking out all the other booths that were there. I spent a lot of time with my two friends Steph, from Imperfectly Painted, and Brianna from Brikasia.

Here's a bunch of things I saw at the Makeup Show:

This was actually the day before at the Blogger Preview!

The Cult Nails booth on Day 1. We switched up the layout a little bit on Day 2, but I didn't get a picture.

Tons of eyeshadow at the Inglot booth.

Judi modeling her sexy red lips with George at the AJ Crimson booth!

We came across so many people wearing their converse at TMS

I loved Ofra's sign! So colorful

OCC nail polish showcased at the Alcone booth

OCC lip tars showcased at the Alcone booth

Some skin cream at the Naked Cosmetics booth

Our very own beauty bloggers of Central FL Cristina, Brittany, and Courtney got to participate in a blogger panel along with Koren and Elessa! They did great!

I got to paint James Vincent's nails! He wanted Cult Nails Nevermore

Maria, Steph, Cristina, and I hanging out at the Cult Nails booth

Maria being interviewed by Jessica of Certified Fabulous

James Vincent talking about fall trends and showing off his manicure!

There were thousands of brushes available by Crown Brush!

Toby Sells, one of the makeup artists for The Walking Dead, starting on doing a demo

I wanted a picture with him!

The lovely ladies at Magnolia Makeup and all of their beautiful pigments!

The booth at Amerikan Body Art. They sold suspension base for making franken polish!

I stole this pic from Brianna because I love it so much! The best part about finally meeting Brianna was learning that she lives in the same county as me, we're about 25 minutes away from each other! I'm so excited to hang out with her more in the future.

Wow, this post has turned out to be super long! Congratulations if you are still reading this post! As you can see, I got to see A LOT of awesome stuff and I got to hang out with so many cool people. I want to thank The Makeup Show Orlando, again, for this great experience!
