Cult Nails Devious Nature Stamped

Hey Guys! I've been a little absent lately, sorry about that! I actually just got back from traveling. I had the amazing opportunity to go to L.A. with Maria, from Cult Nails, to assist her in working the Cult Nails booth at The Makeup Show LA. It was so much fun and I loved that I got to meet some bloggers that I've followed for a long time. Some of them include, Jen, from The Polishaholic, and Stephanie, from Aqua Heart. Maybe I'll do a post soon about the trip and include some pictures, if I don't though, I've posted a ton of pictures on my Instagram (@prettylittlebottles).

Here's an old mani that I was going to include in my 14 days of Valentine's Nails, but decided not to.

What I used:
Cult Nails Devious Nature (2 coats)
Cult Nails Charlatan (1 coat)
WnW Black Creme (for the stamping polish)
Bundle Monster BM-209

I have some simple stamping for you guys today. I did these a long time ago when my nails were SUPER short.

I started with two coats of Nicole by OPI Others Pale by Kim-parison.

Once that dried I stamped with Orly Glitz, which is my favorite gold stamping polish! I used Bundle Monster plate BM-201.

Valentine's Day Nails--Day 11

How was everyone's Monday?? Mine was ok! You ready to see today's nails?? Here ya go...

How to achieve this look:
-I started by using striping tape to get straight lines for the black tips. The black polish I used was Cult Nails Fetish
-Then I stamped the hearts using Sally Hansen Presto Pink and Bundle Monster plate BM-202. Next, I filled in the hearts with a nail art brush to make them darker and fuller
-Lastly, I added some red heart rhinestones

Valentine's Day Nails--Day 9

Oops! I'm a day late for Day 9 :/ That's ok, I'm sure you guys will forgive me, right??

What I used:
China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes (3 coats)
Milani Rapid Cherry
Bundle Monster plate BM-317
Multi-sized multi-colored round rhinestones from Cult Nails

These nails were hard to photograph! I couldn't get Hang-Ten Toes to come out true to color. It's way more neon in real life.

Valentine's Day Nails--Day 3

Just a quick post for today!

This is two coats of Revlon Valentine stamped with Wet N Wild Black Creme. I used Bundle Monster plate BM-323. Isn't the name of the red perfect?
Here's a quick fun fact: Revlon Valentine was the first polish where I bought a second bottle because I loved it so much!

Valentine's Day Nails--Day 1

Happy February everyone! I have challenged myself to post a Valentine's Day nail look for each day leading up to Valentine's day. So, essentially, for the first 14 days of February I have some awesome V-day nail looks to share with you guys! They will range from edgy looks to super cutesy! (is cutesy even a word?)

Ready for look Number 1!?

How to achieve this look:
2 coats Nails Inc. Baker Street on each nail except ring finger
2 coats Cult Nails Tempest on ring finger
Stamp design on each nail except ring finger using Bundle Monster BM-317 and a white stamping polish (I used Cult Nails Tempest)
Lastly, I applied a fimo heart from a pack I bought at Sally's a while back

I'm pretty in love with these nails! I like that they are V-day themed, but not the typical pink or red!

Cult Nails 2nd Anniversary polishes

Today I have swatches of the new collection by Cult Nails! It is their 2nd Anniversary special release collection and it consists of three colors. For each color I used two coats.

Tempest. A plain white cream that does not streak! It's ALMOST a one coater, but not quite. It also works fabulous for stamping, which you can see below.

Blaze. A stunning glitter. It's a gold, but more leaning towards copper. The fine glitter in Blaze consists of gold, lots of copper, and just a hint of silver.

Fetish. A black that dries to a waxy matte finish. This polish is bad ass--that's really the only way I know how to describe it.

Here is some nail art that I did with the entire collection. I wanted to show how well Tempest works with stamping! The plate that I used for the image on my middle finger is Bundle Monster plate BM-305. I happened to put a top coat over Fetish for this mani, so that is why Fetish is looking so shiny here.

This collection can be ordered online from Cult Nails' website and costs $36. The polishes can also be purchased separately for $12 each.

EDITED TO ADD: Preview pricing for this collection has been extended to Saturday, February 2, 2013! Preview pricing is $30 for the entire set. Polishes will still be available for individual purchase for $12 each.

*These polishes were sent to me for review by Cult Nails. All opinions are my own.

China Glaze Glistening Snow stamped

Recently I bought a cute china glaze holiday gift set that included two china glaze polishes and a shot glass! One of the polishes in the set was Glistening Snow!

This is two coats of Glistening Snow, notice how it dries kind of matte! I think it looked really awesome on its own...but I wanted to stamp over it.

I stamped with Wet n Wild Black Creme and I used bundle monster plate 320! It's like a faux water marble effect.

I don't really have much else to say about this mani....I really loved it though! I hope all of you that celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful holiday! I ended up not doing themed nails :/ Oh, well. I'll try and do lots of Christmas nails this year to make up.

Hope you all have a great Monday tomorrow! :)

Nails Inc. Pudding Lane plus Nail Art!

So, I am still obsessed with these Nails Inc. Sprinkles polishes. I decided to wear Pudding Lane the other day, but I decided I'd like to spruce it up with an accent nail.

I started by doing two coats of Pudding Lane on each nail except for my ring fingers. For those that don't know, Pudding Lane is a beautiful bright blue creme polish jam packed with deep indigo and lime green glitter, it's amazing.

Then I painted each ring finger with two coats of Avon Speed Dry in Lime Splatter. This polish is new from Avon for fall!

Lastly, I stamped over Lime Splatter with Sally Hansen Insta dri in Co-Bolt Blue. I used Bundle Monster plate BM-221.

I actually love this mani more in my pictures than I loved having it on my fingers. I hate when that happens lol!

Revlon Sparkle Aplenty

Last Friday I stopped at Walgreens to grab some milk because my mom and I were out at our house. Well, as we all know, a trip to Walgreens, regardless of what we're picking up, means we all have to check out all the beauty stuff..am I right?

Well, I was just about to walk to the register because I thought I didn't see anything good and then a new Revlon display caught my eye. It was a brand new display full of a polish called Sparkle Aplenty.

I almost died because it was so cool. It's a black jelly with silver and black microglitter, plus silver and black hex glitter!! WIN!

Here is three coats of Sparkle Aplenty. If you click to enlarge the photos you can see the black hex glitter better, but unfortunately it's hard to see unless you look closely. I want to try and layer this polish over a white or grey to see if the black stands out better!
For my ring finger I used a black creme as a base and stamped it with Bundle Monster plate BM-322. The silver polish that I used to stamp was Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. (my favorite polish to stamp with!)
Sparkle Aplenty is seriously awesome. I suggest you run to Walgreens right away and get one...or two! :)

Back to School: Accounting Nails!

Today was the first day of my last semester of college! I can't even begin to describe how excited I am that I'm almost done with my Bachelor's degree and I really can't believe I've made it all the way to the end!
You may have noticed in my "about me" that I mention that I am majoring in Accounting. So, for my back to school nails I wanted to do something inspired by accounting..what better to choose than money and numbers!

Here's what I came up with:

Cult Nails Feelin' Froggy stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM-311

Feelin' Froggy was the "money" part of this mani. It was the best green I had to depict the color of money and I have to say, I freaking love it! Of course, the numbers part is obvious here...this image plate was the first thing I thought of when I decided to try and do accounting inspired nails!

When I texted these nails to my boyfriend he replied with, "They remind me of the Riddler!" lol!
For those that don't know, the Riddler is an enemy of Batman and was played by Jim Carey in the old Batman movie.

*I got this picture from google images

He was pretty close! Instead of numbers, Riddler has questions marks. I wonder if I have an image plate with that?? I feel like I do!

Anyways, these nails are really fun and I really enjoyed looking at them all day. They made my first day just a little brighter :)
