A Not-So-Valentine's Day Mani

I'm doing another post today to show some love for the people out there that don't like Valentine's Day! Maybe you don't have a Valentine, just had a break-up, or are just down about love...this one's for you! :)

What I used:
Milani Fast Fuchsia (2 coats)
Cult Nails Fetish (1 coat) on ring finger
LA Girls Uninhibited (Black glitter, 2 coats)
Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love (2 coats)

To make the heart on my ring finger I took a piece of tape and cut out a heart shape then filled it in with Milani Fast Fuchsia. Once that dried, I used a black nail art pen and did a zig zag down the middle to make it look broken.

I hope you guys like this look! I just wanted to be able to include everyone since I've been posting so many cute, love/heart manis. I wanted to mix it up and do something different!

Valentine's Day Nails--Day 9

Oops! I'm a day late for Day 9 :/ That's ok, I'm sure you guys will forgive me, right??

What I used:
China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes (3 coats)
Milani Rapid Cherry
Bundle Monster plate BM-317
Multi-sized multi-colored round rhinestones from Cult Nails

These nails were hard to photograph! I couldn't get Hang-Ten Toes to come out true to color. It's way more neon in real life.

Milani Fall Fashion Nail Trends: My Designs!

A few weeks ago, a lovely lady from Milani contacted me and asked if I'd like to create four nail designs inspired by four fashion nail trends. I, of course, jumped at the opportunity and I was so flattered that I was asked to participate. Many other awesome nail bloggers particapated as well and there were so many beautiful designs submitted!

Milani has posted all of the designs on their Pinterest page. I'm going to post my four designs below, but you should definitely go check out everyone else's as well!

The four fashion nail trends that Milani asked us to base our designs off of were: Haute Rod, Color Block, Glamazon, and Gilded Rebel!

Haute Rod: I started with one coat of Milani Black Swift. Then using both Milani Gold Glitz and Red Sparkle I made stripes while leaving some black for a half moon look!

Color Block: For the white base I used Milani White on the Spot and used my striping tape to section off the triangles. The orange that I used was Milani Jiffy Orange and the red was Milani Rapid Cherry.

Glamazon: I started with one coat of Milani Black Swift and then did one coat of Milani Twinkle. For the glitter placement that frames each nail I used Milani Fuchsia.

Gilded Rebel: Since I was using neons for this mani I did a base of Milani White on the Spot. Then I did two coats of Milani Totally 80's and sponged a gradient using Milani Fresh Teal. Lastly, I did one coat of Milani Teal!

This project was SO fun to do and I still can't believe I was among the bloggers that were asked to take part. How amazing?! Like I mentioned above you should definitely go check out Milani's pinterest page to see all of the other gorgeous designs!

Many, many thanks to Milani for allowing me to participate in this! :)

Dots, Dots, Dots!

Today's nails I did a while back, you'll notice in the pics that my nails are my old square shape. For some reason I never posted them! So, here they are today :)

I started with two coats of Cult Nails Manipulative

Then I did some random dots with Milani Orchidia

Next came dots of Nicole by OPI Others Pale by Kim-parison and Milani Beach Front.
The Beach Front dots aren't very noticeable.

Lastly, I added dots of Milani Mint Candy and Orly Dazzle!

I really loved the randomness of these nails and I want to try more designs like this with different color combos!

Realistic giraffe stamping

As promised, here is my take on realistic giraffe print nails!!

Here's what I used:

L to R: OPI Bronzed to Perfection, Spoiled by Wet n Wild Designated Driver, Milani Dark Coffee

I started with one coat of Bronzed to Perfection and then sponged on Designated Driver until I was satisfied with the color of the base. I used Dark Coffee for the stamp with Bundle Monster plate BM-215.

Yay giraffe nails!!!

I can't decide if I like these or the snake skin nails better?! They both turned out perfect!

These nails make me want to go visit the zoo near where I live and feed the giraffes!

Here are some pics from April 2011 when I was at the zoo!

It's so awesome how close they get and you can pet them! I just love giraffes!

Milani Madness Part 4 !

Here are the last polishes that I received from Milani!

Juno. Two coats. This is a nice light baby pink creme. It covered very nicely and Milani's brushes make for an easy application.

Key West. Two coats. This is a metallic/shimmery turquoise. It's a little hard to explain, but it's very pretty.

U Pinky Swear. Two coats. This is an opaque pink creme that is a little on the peachy side. It is a little lighter in real life. My camera was not cooperating with this color.

Mint Candy. Two coats. MC is an opaque turquoise creme that leans more green than blue. It also has some subtle turquoise shimmer to it. Side Note: I'm SO SORRY for my hands in this picture. This was the last color I swatched and I didn't notice how dry my skin had gotten. ew.

Chocolate Sprinkles. Two coats. CS is a metallic/shimmery brown with lots of pretty bronze and gold shimmer. The name of this polish is really cute and fits the color well, in my opinion! I don't think I've ever seen a color quite like this! And it's really pretty.

Here's a kind of blurred photo to show you the shimmer.

Dark Coffee. Two coats. This is an opaque dark brown. Like, dark dark brown..but not so much that its mistaken for black. It dried really shiny on its own and I loved the richness of the color.

Silver Stilettos. Two coats. SS is a super sparkly silver foil. I don't own another silver foil that is as shiny as this one! I really like it!

This pic is a little blurred to show how Silver Stilettos has some sparkle to it.

Last, but not least, Teddy Brown. Two coats. This is an opaque milk chocolate brown. You could even argue that this color is a little taupey.  My mom absolutely loved this color. She made me give her a pedicure with it!

After reviewing so many Milani polishes I can honestly say they have a quality product. From their brushes, to their formula, to their wear time.  Not to mention they are affordable and that is something that is huge in my book! These polishes are available for sale on Milani's website.

Thank you, again, to Milani for being such a huge supporter of the Central FL Beauty Bloggers and for providing us with all of your awesome cosmetics!

Milani Madness Part 3!

More Milani polishes comin' at ya! And today it's all about the glitter! Today I'm going to show you the new one coat glitters and the jewel fx glitters!

This is Milani Jewel FX Teal over Milani Yellow Whiz.

I just did one coat of the glitter. It has fine blue glitter as well as green and blue hex glitter. I love this combo!

Here is Milani Jewel FX Red over Milani Jiffy Orange. This is one coat.

This is just red hex glitter. I can't wait to use this for the holidays! I want to try and cover a whole accent nail with this...it would look so awesome!

Milani Jewel FX Fuchsia over Milani Violet Dash. One coat!

This has fuchsia hex glitter as well as fine fuchsia glitter. I loved how the two purple colors contrasted against each other. It was subtle yet stood out!

Milani Jewel FX Hot Pink over Milani Fast Fuchsia. One coat!

Hot Pink is kind of like Teal except Hot Pink doesn't have any fine glitter and the two hex glitter colors are silver and hot pink! There are actually a few pieces of holo hex glitter as well! I want to try and cover a whole nail with this one also. That would look so pretty with the two different glitter colors!

Milani One Coat Glitter in Lavender Fizz. In one coat I still had a few bald spots so I did another one and it was perfect!! This was my favorite of the three one coat glitters I got.

It was so sparkly!!

This one coat glitter is called Pink Flare. This is fine pink and holo glitter pieces! Same as Lavender Fizz, it took me two coats.

Ok, so, maybe this one is actually my favorite?? lol I can't decide! I kept wanting to call this one Barbie Pink or something lol Its so girly and cute.

Here's a blurred pic to see the pretty holo glitter!

Milani One coat Glitter in Twinkle. This one actually wasn't as dense as the other two and I had to use two coats. From looking at these pics, I maybe should have done one more to cover those patches.

This is small blue and purple rounded glitter. I love the mix of the blue and purple!!

Whew! That was a lot of pictures lol I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at glitter though! These are all additions to Milani's existing glitter lines and they can be purchased here!

Which ones are your favorites?? Have you tried any of the other One Coat Glitters or Jewel Fx??
