For the American flag nail: I sectioned off one square to leave blank and painted two coats of Cult Nails Evil Queen so that I could have a red base before the stripes. Then, for the sectioned off part I painted two coats of OPI Dating a Royal for the blue. Once all of that was completely dry I used my dotting tool for the white dots to represent the stars. And I used my white striping tape for the stripes in the flag!
For the rest of my nails: I painted two coats of Cult Nails Evil Queen, then did one coat of Sephora by OPI Flurry Up! (silver hex glitter), and lastly, I did one coat of Icing Disco Ball (blue hex glitter).
Eugenia, from the blog Genia Be Me, did a great post on a whole bunch of people's Independence Day nails...go check it out (you'll see my nails featured in there as well!).
Happy 4th back at ya...I had to take my 4th pedi off (fingernails are resting due to a ton of peeling from meds I am on)....I had a major fail on my pedi 4th art...wore it yesterday and now have a white cream base on ready to put something over it and take off to listen to some music down on the bay here where I live....maybe will try a blue saran wrap with a few 'distressed' fast art lines of red and silver.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th! I love this! The flag is so cute!
